Talk about being CHEAP!

This client of mine needs some computer work done on 2 computers he has and I don't know where he finds these people to work on his stuff!

 

He got both computers all upgraded with new Windows one for $400.00 and the other for $100.00.

 

Well, the one for $100.00, has 8 USB ports, 4 in the front and 4 in the back. Well one in the front works and one in the back works and none of the others work. We can't plug in a printer via USB or install updates with a Flash Drive because we need the two working ones for the keyboard and mouse. I've been asking for months to get this thing fixed and he has other priorities and doesn't get it done.

 

The $400.00 computer today won't connect to our network. He asks me to take a look at it. Come to find out besides the Internet not connecting at all, the Windows License will expire on Sept. 24, and we have no key code to register it with. Who installs Windows on a computer for a customer and doesn't register it.......Some scam artist that's who.

 

If this guy would have a reputable professional who he has to pay to fix these things in the first place, instead of being cheap, and using some friend of a friend, he wouldn't need both computers worked on again in less than 4 months.

You could use a USB hub into which you can plug several USB devices like keyboards, mice, etc. Then you can do the updates you need.

Is it really that easy today? I sometimes don't know who I can trust, and it doesn't matter if it's a well known company (specialist) or just some one who was recommended to me. You never know these days.

 

Losing a reputation is one story, to keep it is another.

the one usb working and not the others may be the first two speeds of usb. That was an error for only ten years now.

the slow speed keeps going like a bulldozer, all else is like HD video.. (overclocked thinned out mpeg2)
