I've been following the Lions since the days of Greg Landry, Alex Karras, Lem Barney, Charlie Sanders, etc. Different coaches, different schemes, different players, hundreds of blundered draft picks. What is the one and only common factor? THE SAME OWNER. Can you blame Barry Sanders (greatest RB ever!) for retiring in his prime? He could no longer take the owner's lack of commitment to putting a winning team on the field. Even though I get my hopes up every year, nothing will change with the Lions until the Ford family sells the team.

Ugly, ugly, ugly. Funny how the announcers kept saying there just isn't much talent on the field. There's no talent in the front office, either.

Bye week then on to Green Bay where they haven't won since 1991... so we can count on 1-8.

The sad thing is they'll probably win two or three games throughout the rest of this season and the Fords will say they are making progress because they started 1-8 and went 2-5 the rest of the way so that's an improvement. Fools they are.
