Cab lights after purchase?

I guess I'am a little late with this answer, however yes I purchased the light OEM light kit and harness and installed, will post pics in the next day or so. The parts were ordered thru gmpartsgiant.com. The part numbers for a 2015 GMC 2500hd are 23170769 Harness, 2279461 Lamp, 22794642 lamp, and 22794643 lamp. That's Center, right and left lamps The cost for oem is a little high, however I think (my opinion) they look better than most aftermarket.

I live in Columbia SC and the dealer farms his body work out, so I had this done by an excellent body shop with the appropriate jigs etc. to make the square (yes square) holes and yes the headliner had to be removed. Good luck! Next up are bolt amber lights on the lower air dam and running lights on the step brackets.

Just adding a potential problem down the road...The stock ones leak after time and so will the after market. They do look good though.

a good point , however I have not heard of any leaking and I researched several on line forums before I took the OEM option, then again thats what silicone is for!!

To the gentleman who had leakage, a few questions, who installed yours, what is the yr. make and model of your truck and was this reported to GM, amount of time passing (years) to the point of leakage, I know older trucks to include semi tractors have had some problems due to heat breaking down of materials etc, however we are at a better point in quality components, and sometime things just wear out. sorry about rambling. The tin soldier, Hoorah!!
