Pic Request for 275/60/20 vs 275/65/20 BFG KO2

Recommended Posts

That looks great, thanks for post pics and info! Do you know how high your truck ended up at highest point?I gotta stay a few inches short of 6'8 for parking garage.

Curious how a 33 looks in there. Want to go with the Bilstein 5100s and a 33" K02.

I am going for pretty much the exact setup - I've ordered the bilstein 5100s for all 4 corners, setting the fronts for the highest setting, removing stock rear blocks and adding a pro-comp 2.25" block kit to add 1" and keep some of the rake, I plan on running 275/65/20 either BFG's, Nitto Terra grappler G2, Michelin LTX MS2, or Toyo Open country AT2

Should end up w/ about 3" overall lift from stock ride height, I'm also removing the front chin spoiler thing too.

Hmmm...I'll have to compare the 285/60/20's as well. It looks like they are almost 1/2 inch wider and 1/2 inch taller.

285's are a half inch wider but they are a half inch SHORTER then the 275/65's, gives a slightly meaner look, little meatier.

Tires are not equal in height and width, each tire brand can be quite a bit different, I use tireracks website to look at actual specs to compair true heigh-width-weight, what a lot of guys don't get is that the height and the weight just kill the power, it is like going from a 3.73 to a 3.08 and pulling a small trailer while doing it.

Tons of pictures out there to look at, I just type in the tire in its size and look at images on google to get a good deal of how they look on the truck.

It's tough to get an accurate idea on what these A/T tires actually weigh....seems like the stock wrangler sr-a's weigh in around 40 lbs in 275/55/20 while I have seen the nitto terra grappler g2 & BFF Goodrich at ko2 in 275/65/20 both listed between 55-59lbs - or 57 lbs, so that's a significant difference and one you'd most likely notice.

Anyone know if there's a lighter aggressive looking A/T tire that weighs closer to stock?

Great information above. I think accounting for weight is important. I have found tons of pictures by googling, but I think one of the strengths of this forum is compiling things in an easy-to-use format for its members. I've thought about posting pictures in here of other members' trucks that I've found in other threads, but don't fell comfortable using other people's pics.

Here's mine...275/60r20 on stock suspension. I love these tires and they are wearing great! I've got 35,000+ miles on this set and they still have 10-11/32 tread depth left. Hoping to get around 60,000+ out of this set before having to buy new ones which won't take me long since I drive 3500-4000 miles a month!
