Question

Hello, I have GMC Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3L-V8 of year 2004 that I bought from local dealership 2 years ago. and I was really satisfied with my truck until this month. I know that it is old for a few andand maybe I need to buy new one, but I can't just leave it to the mercy of fate. I've invested to much efforts, money and time for 2 years on this car. In my car slowly began cease to work instrumental panel and heating system that terribly annoying me. I have read some forums and articles and found out that not only I have such problems with this car. The speedometer and gas gauge do not work correctly. after 100mph panel can malfunction or while hot or cold it can show whatever it wants. I have turned key on 3 times and have already checked and shown fault does to dealership, but they said they wouldn't fix that bug, because it is factory equipment fault.. . I don't know what to do, guys.. :help:

If I'm understanding whatever it is that you wrote, your instrument panel and heating have stopped working?

Not sure about the heating, but the instrument panel not working is more than likely the stepper motors that have failed. GM vehicles from 03-07 are notorious for having the instrument clusters go bad. You can find places that will rebuild the panel, with new stepper motors and lighting, for $125 or so (probably less now), depending on where you live. There are also some places on Ebay, that allow you to send your panel in, they rebuild it for you, and ship it back to you...again

Yep. Get the instrument panel rebuilt. Explain your heating issues.... If no heat, check for coolant system being full with no air pockets. Try flushing the heater core. If it is a blend door issue then that can be addressed

Look on ebay, there's dozens of different people/companies that will rebuild your instrument gauge cluster for $70 or so, plus shipping. They replace all 6-7 stepper motors, replace the shift and information display lighting, and replace all bulbs (with LED lights if you want). I'm going to do mine soon for a couple of gauges and bulbs being bad.
