Question

I could really use a little help here I have already changed the hose but there was a yellow plastic thing I missed and I don't know where it goes. It's just like the one in this pic http://www.amazon.com/Sunsong-3402221-Steering-Pressure-Chevrolet/dp/B014XF1V28#immersive-view_1448471919073

I would think there's an o-ring in there, judging by the ends of the line in the link.

That looks like a dust cap they put on the ends of the new hose, just to keep crap out of it before you install it. Can also put it in the rack or steering box to keep dirt out of those openings too while your working. They normally get thrown away when the job is done. I keep them around for other jobs that may come up.

Ya I also have small black rubber piece that I cant find a pic of but would it go on to the end of the hose and into the rack to stop it from leaking. When I put the hose in nothing came out with it and it's still leaking

Might be a seal. If the old one didn't come out with the old hose, 2 seals together will leak like crazy. Need to get the old one out of there if that's what happened.
