Adding Sub/amp to aftermarket HU with Bose

Recommended Posts

Long time lurker first time poster, having an issue with my 2004 Yukon XL. I put a set of subs and amp from my old vehicle in and am having issues keeping them working. I have a Pioneer double din with the PAC?($100+ adapter to keep chimes) installed with no issues. When i put the subs and amp in i am seeing them cut out only when the truck is moving. When sitting still parked they work great. I've done countless audio installs over the years so I dont believe it is a ground issue only because they work fine when still, i could be wrong though. I proactively moved the ground to a better place and when moving the wire while parked they do not cut out at all. Im baffled and have been searching the web for days with no luck. Is there another expensive adapter i am missing to bypass the bose sub and amp or do i need to go back to basic audio install school? any help would be greatly appreciated

Since you have secured the ground, next I would check:

Loose battery connection for amp power?

Amp going out?

Yeah amp power is cutting in and out, but also sometimes the amp retains power but there is nothing to be heard. quite odd, ive never come across something like this before but then again never messed with something with Bose like this. So everything should work without any additional adapters correct? ill double check the power coming from the battery and make sure the line isnt pinched anywhere causing issues
