New and have "heated" seats issue

Recommended Posts

My seats get "slightly warm" when on the highest setting. So I thought I would have it addressed at my next oil change.

While my car was at the dealership (to have this and other problems looked at along with the oil change) they rented me a 2016 gmc acadia slt.

The heated seats were great!!!! So I definitely thought my seats were broken in my tahoe....nope, "all models are like that now, too many complaints about seats getting too hot."

My thought was that is why there are 3 different settings, turn down the seat and don't have yor seat on so high.

Im surprised that there are not more complaints about this. Anybody else have this issue?

Yes I complained to my dealer about the seats not getting hot enough, and they told me that is how they are supposed to be...... I think he told me that the hot seats damage the leather or some BS. Either way - ridiculous. I guess that is what you get when you spend that much money on a GM.

I have had my heated seat burn out on me twice now. The dealer doesn't understand why... but when it does work it doesn't seem to heat like my 08 Trailblazer did. The dealer has said that the seats in the new trucks have a lower temp setting. Really stupid. They don't even heat up enough to actually feel that there is heat. Very frustrating.

The heated seats are terrible on all these 2015-2016 GM SUV's ! none of them get very hot, and take FOREVER to even get warm. Our old Suburban and Escalade seats were great! Just added a 295.00 seat heater to my daily driver from katskin. they are 100X then our $85,000.00 Escalade's seats. These SUV's are a JOKE!

2016 Yukon Denali heated seats not working properly, don't turn on with remote start and barely emit any heat. This is my 4th Yukon Denali... so I know what the seats are supposed to do... and they are NOT doing it. Dealer says nothing wrong... but as I said this is my 4th one, and all 4 of my older models of the same car heated consistently, and without issue. What is going on????

I am having the same issues with my 2016 Tahoe. Barely heating and won't heat at all from auto start. We can have the warmers on for an hour and they'll turn themselves down and we didn't even realize they were still on. Dealer says they meet specs and can't do anything. Called GM and they can't give me any answers either. They couldn't even tell me if the seat warmers have been modified in the newer models. I traded in a 2008 Tahoe and the warmers were awesome! Very disappointed I can't get answers.
