GMT900 Shift Lever in an 800?

Anyone know if a GMT900 shift lever would work in an 800 pickup? Someone mentioned it on another forum, but from what I'm looking at the plugs appear to be different, but I'm not completely sure.

You only use the wore for tow/haul and basically splice it

I looked into it. Didnt seem worth the effort. That lever was on the LBZ equipped trucks.

They're barely any different? I've owned both generations and I can guarantee I'd never notice that if someone did the mod and if they did and pointed it out, I'd probably say "neat" but think unkind things about them to myself. haha

Lol! About the only difference is the shape. I noticed the difference when I first test drove a 900, but I was used to driving an 800 so that's probably why. I'm just bored basically lol

The LBZ diesel trucks came factory with that shifter. Look at the tachometer. The redline above 4k shows it is an 06/07 LBZ Duramax with 6 Speed Allison

Wow that seems odd. Wonder why that's the only part of the interior that they changed? It even has the manual shift buttons.
