2003 Yukon Denali 6.0 alternator

Tim T Quast

Question

Ive been trying to find an alternator for a 6.0 Yukon Denali but sofar no salvage yards have any and I cant even find a rebuild kit for the dang thing..
I don't want to order new, seeing as they very from 80 to 200

I was wondering. between Silverado's, Tahoe's, Sonoma, trailblazers, suburbans
and considering the year.. what alternators may bolt on with the same connectors and 145 amp, work with My Yukon?

atlest then I have a broader window for the next trip to the yard.

Thats what i needed to know! thanks :) i did run accross one that was off 05 that had a different plug, so for 99 to 04, would that go for Silverados, Tahous, etc.. for GM and GMC? Just trying to get a good list for cross reference that i could bring to a salvage yard and hopefully find one. as for an HD, would that also be a 99 to 04? and since the yukon had a 145 amp, would a 160 be overkill by any chance? considering the gauge of wire and such.

Not over kill. Im running a 300 Amp. I dont think the HD had a plug change. And there is no difference in a chev alternator and GMC alternator. The 145 came about to support stock electric fans.
