Just wanted to let everyone know if you don't already, iDataLink has released the new software for our trucks. We can now replace the crappy radio's with an aftermarket one without losing ANY integrated functionality like steering wheel controls and dash info controls. It also comes with an external warning chime speaker so the chimes don't go through the radio anymore. http://maestro.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/102 . Alpine has also released an entire radio cluster replacement that come with a 10" Display. Its pricey though! http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500X110SLV/Alpine-X110-SLV-In-Dash-Restyle-System.html .

Only see a price on the second one, ouch!!! Any idea on the first setup

The price on the first setup is about $149 but that's just the control module. You're going to have to get a head unit that's compatible with iDataLink. Most major brands like Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC are. I'm going with the Kenwood DNN992 head unit.

I love the alpine one but too much money. That radio should be standard on Denali and HC models do differentiate a little more. But what a beautiful radio

I agree, not too many people can dump $3500, but it sure is a sweet looking unit.

How come you cannot get it if you have Bose? It says without Bose....

I don't know... Maybe its because of the factory amp integrates so much into it. Like the chimes and such. I really have no idea. I bet if you bypassed all the factory stuff it really wouldn't matter.

Couple of questions. Can you use the factory Sirius XM antenna to connect to the after market radio so you can still get Sirius XM? Also I seen receivers with an HDMI input. Can you mirror an iPhone with that?

Yes, it can use the factory antenna but the XM and HDMI mirroring capabilities will be determined by the new head unit, not the iDataLink Maestro interface.
