2015 3500 HD SRW.....REALLY stiff ride.

Recommended Posts

I run between 80 and 85 psi all around.

And My SHOCKS are adjustable.

Wow. I know you do a lot of towing, but aren't all load range E tires rated at 80 psi max cold? I would think they would heat up enough to be close to 90 psi going down the road. That would make me nervous. Also, what brand of tires are you getting that kind of life from? 180k is very impressive.

I believe after rolling as many miles as I have:

Read tire manufacturer sites, they really don't mention a danger of over inflation. Increased pressure while rolling is a result of heat build up. More heat build is possible the lower the starting (cold) pressure is in the tire.

Now not all tires rated the same are equal. All terrain tires are a softer rubber compound and aggressive tread to increase off road traction. Highway/all season tires are harder compound mild tread made to perform better on pavement at higher speeds.

The tires I use are Bridgestone Duravis R500s. I call them mini semi tires. There are great for highway on a weighted rear.
