Anyone install GMC molded splash guards

Recommended Posts

Has anyone installed the GMC molded splash guards. Part 22894860 front and 22894866 rear? My new tires/rims are throwing mud and rocks down the side of my 2016 2500HD. Does anyone know how they install and if they will interfere with my AMP Steps? Thanks

I went to Husky moulded mudguards front and rear, excellent fit and on my DRW, I had one hole to drill on the rear wheel wells, no drilling on the front. I had the GM ones on my 08, like the Huskys better.

Bought weather tech for the front and thinking of buying the GMC OEM for the back because they have that "GMC" engraved into the flap.

The weather techs will be no drill. The OEM I'll have to drill. They should fit fine with the AMP steps unless AMP messes with the wheel wells somehow.

I put on the GM ones. They fit perfect and were very easy to install. Found them on eBay for a lot less then the dealers around me wanted.

The GM ones mount OVER the little built in standard ones on the truck - IIRC

They seem to work OK over-all

Got mine with the Commercial Up-Fitter cash allowance (and the curved ends running boards & cig lighter)

UPDATE: I bought the splash guards and they are exactly what I wanted except THE FRONT SPLASH GUARDS DO NOT WORK WITH AMP STEPS on a diesel. I have the Diesel, the AMP steps have to be mounted forward because of the Exhaust fluid tank. I will install the rear but have to find something else for the front. Any front splash guards must not extend rearward of the stock wheel well trim (it had to be trimmed for the amp steps a bit as per the directions).
