Str8Uglys 2015 silvy build, intro wheels, narrowed rear

Bought the truck at the end of October because it was a truck or buy another canam or polaris sxsl truck won the vote obviously.

2015 silverado crew cab short bed with a 5.3

so i got the truck and since its just a play truck it wont see many miles i think it has 700 miles on it total as of today.

i know these trucks look goofy with 22's and 24's so 26" or larger was my goal wheel and im wishing i would have went to a 28 or 30. Wheels were a toss up between Intro, Billet Specialties, Raceline, or US Mags, Intros won my wheel vote.

These Are 26x9 and 26x10 Intro ID350 wheels with a 4.25 back spacing on the rear for about a 6" lip, brushed face with a double dark tint powder coat, tires are a 295/30r26

next thing i had done was the windows had to be tinted, front windows 5%, rear windows 2.5%, front windshield 20% and a 12" 5% eye brow

i have all of my chrome bumpers and grill bezels all off to get color matched right now so no pic of that

 

currently im going to be running a 5/10 mcgaughys lowering kit until it can be bagged and body dropped

 

axle will be narrowed 4" of each side, the max you can narrow these and keep leaf springs in the stock location is 4 1/4".

my rear end specs were 9.76 ring gear, 34 1/16 wsm to c-clip length, bearing surface 1.618". there is a oddball size of 1.705 bearing which moser does not make an axle for

got the truck back a couple weeks ago, only bad thing is i had to pick it up incomplete due to the guy who was doing the work narrowed the rear way too much, the rear caliper would hit the leaf spring. so the only option would be to buy a new rear end, or bag the truck, so i dropped it off last weekend at Innovation by Design in norman oklahoma to get bagged and body dropped.

Little update truck is finally being worked and should be completed for slamboree aug 6-7 in Shawnee Oklahoma.

 

While it is now being worked on I decided to have the interior stripped and updated

All interior plastics will be dyed black

Headliner and visors will be suede

Door panels will have suede inserts and the arm rest will be coffee leather with black stitching

Seats will be katzkin, no headrest, black wrap coffee leather inserts and brown outlaw wings with black stitching

yeah i wanted black leather but the dealership didnt have one with a black interior, so i just bout a basic LT truck with cloth and the 8" screen amd i didnt even want the 8" screen, i will be putting either the alpine restyling unit in it or i will put a ipad mini in it like i have in my f350

Who doesn't like updates?

Little more progress on the truck, 3/4 frame is built using 3x4 tubing, front kit is built as well

 

How about a little interior update. Now I'm not a huge fan of the seats yet but I'm sure they will grown on me/look better in the truck. Not sure if I should have went with a lighter or darker brown or did them one solid color

thanks man, this truck is just a when im not working i can cruise truck. i sit in my f350 daily and i just wanted something different that i could cruise when im not at work. i just need to get with kyle and get him to build my interior up for me

Got the truck back incomplete again but I'll finish it at the house

The day I got it from the shop

 

 

The next day all washed up

 

And I figured I couldn't pull this with my f350 so I went and bought a new truck to tow it with

 

And time to tear down to powdercoat the frame and all parts and run all new lines

 

 

Cab will be pulled today

I'm going to go ahead and install a converter in the trans and do a cam swap since the cab would have to come off again to do that
