GMT800 Rearend into GMT900, Electrical Issues

Recommended Posts

Alight, I've received tons of information here but haven't had a question that wasn't answered until now. The rear-end in an acquaintance's '07 Yukon went bad due to wreck-damage; I had the rear-end out of an '06 Yukon Denali with the same gears and a posi unit so and it was a direct swap bolt-in wise so we did it. The only difference was the size of the wheel speed sensor; it was smaller on the '07 then the '06 but they plugged in fine. Now we're getting a wheel-speed code in the truck, is the swap screwed or will a different sensor make it work?

IF the old unit was NOT a Posi, and the replacement one IS, this can affect how the abs looks at the sensors. I am thinking that a digit in the ECM program that controls ABS needs to be changed. Im betting a dealership hook up is required. Good luck
