Is there a way to add a Cargo Camera? would be nice if the MyLink screen would have the option of a second camera. The tailgate mounted rear camera works great but for hooking on a fifth wheel, a second one in the box would be great. Has anyone heard of an available kit? I hear other manufacturers have them but nothing on Chevy yet...

A second in the box and an option to hook a wired one to the back of trailer would be FANTASTIC!!!

I'm guessing these are all coming soon as the 2017 Ford SD series trucks have multiple camera options. If I recall correctly, a fully-optioned SD can have up to something like 7 cameras on it, including a 360* view. Pretty incredible stuff.

Soon a $50k truck will be a thing of the past with all these coming options.

I think the MVI folks have an upgrade for the radios that add capabilities and a second camera input is one of them.

Not sure if it shows in split screen or you have to switch from backup to other camera.

Send them a text, I'm sure they will let you know what is possible.

Then it would be up to you to add the camera where you need it.

Thank you for your email!

We have everything on shore and GM is looking to get everything stock and the line rolled out to the dealers by the beginning of June. Your correct in assuming that the part will work on both Silverado and Sierra vehicles on both HD and LD vehicles.

The camera will be available at the same time, we just passed testing.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions, thanks!

That looks like a pretty nice set-up. And at first, I thought $1k was pricey, but for what you get that feature, it's not too bad.

It is a very nice setup. Just remember the $995 cost is AFTER you have the tow mirrors. If your truck doesn't have tow mirrors you need to have those installed first (which costs another $1200 at the dealership). But most 2500 and 3500's already have the tow mirrors ...
