New 2016 GMC SIERRA SLT

Recommended Posts

So after very long time I finally custom built and ordered my new 2500HD, SLT trim double cab long bed. I figured before im 40, I need this...

I was told they cannot put the "All Terrain" package on double cab, only crew cab. That is BS, why the heck not? Does anyone have a double cab with "all terrain"? I really like the different grill, and colored bumpers and less chrome on the truck with Iridium Metallic paint. I'm not chrome guy, I think it looks better all same color.

Love the painted bumpers, love the red stitching inside, like the fact it comes well optioned just don't like that cheap plastic carbon fiber seats edges. Deal breaker for me.

Oh congrats on your purchase! I'm on the fence about buying a 2500, buy now or wait to see what the 2017s will be.

The order guide doesn't say it can't be put on a double cab. It does show is that it must be 4wd and SLT.

Might be worth checking with another dealer before ordering.

(On the other hand, Denali is not available on a DC either.)

Actually it does. If you have the 2016 brochure, on the "All Terrain" page it says available on the 2500,3500 SLT Crew cab, does not mention DC.

And we could not select it while building with the program from the dealer on his computer, I dont think it would be just this dealer(dont have many to choose from, lol)

Its just i found pictures of previous years, maybe its new for 2016

I ran into the same issue - wanted All Terrain on a double cab. Until I saw the seats.

Ended up ordering a colored grill and surround option. However that is only available for certain colors.

yeah, I wasnt too crazy about the red stitching and the big badge on side. You should be able to just get body colored bumpers without getting the all terrain package. You can get the colored grill insert like you said but not in my color. If I am building a vehicle there should not be any limits if the parts are available for other models...oh well.

I am happy with the build, and will see it in 8 weeks!

Great... I was wanting an All Terrain until I see that no one likes the seats... does anyone have a picture of what they look like? My dealer doesn't have an All Terrain in stock, unfortunately.

I also notice when building one online that you can't select the Cardinal Red paint color, but there is a guy driving around town with a Cardinal Red All Terrain, so I don't think their website is completely accurate.

Add me to the list.

When I bought my truck, the dealer had two Sonoma Red Double Cabs on the lot. One an All Terrain, the other an SLT.

It took me one quick look inside to make my choice.

The All Terrain seats weren't going to happen for me.

Sooo cheap and tacky looking.

Well, my truck finally arrived! I'm going down today to check it out. But my only issue is I have not sold my current truck yet...I dont know what to do!

I'm bringing it down for an appraisal, but rather sell private to get close to my asking price...
