I'll add some later. Did your exhaust get any louder?? I was thinking about emailing magnaflow and see if I could purchase the resonator piece..cut it out and add a piece in place of it.

I don't think mine has gotten any louder. After some time with it you will think its getting quieter because you are use to it. Its PLENTY loud enough for me. Don't mess with the resonator. This is what is helping keep the interior drone to a minimum.

isnt there a resonator in the system in the tailpipe?

Well if there was meant to be one, they left it off of mine. Only thing I have is cats, pipe, and muffler. And the Magnaflow in place of the trash can OEM muffler is perfect. Just the right level of deep, throaty sound that isn't obnoxious.

Correct. The dual system does not have a resonator.

Check this out: some good info from the reviews.

https://www.amazon.com/Vibrant-1792-Bottle-Style-Resonator/dp/B000E3VHVO/ref=pd_sbs_263_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=AJ9Q8D0PHCMHF20GDJVE

Apparently putting resonator before muffler will help with drone and quiet it down a bit if you want.

I used this muffler from MagnaFlow 548166f4e1c6e63bb3e0f512c22bacf3.jpg

The sound is absolutely perfect, I had it welded in at a local shop for a $100. I kept the rest of the stock system. It's in on a bit like an angle, but it doesn't bother me. 09c8a338f6a57cf4ec086e9a8c4c4033.jpgpost-84385-147218289453_thumb.jpegpost-84385-147218290689_thumb.jpeg

Magna flow must have discontinued the total offset 3.5/3.5 muffler. I had one put on my 2015 2500 in March of 2015 and it is a total offset 3.5/3.5. Can't recall part number.

I searched for that exact muffler a month ago, and it's only available in a center/offset version...even on their website.

I had a magnaflow 18 inch muffler put in to replace the stock one. I noticed the pipe they used to make a slight s bend and make up the difference in length was smaller than the 3.5 inch factory pipe. I asked them about it and they said they dont have the bending tools to bend 3.5 inch so they use 3 inch and expand the ends. They do it all the time.

I am concerned about the smaller pipe in either side of the muffler causing restriction and therefore a small amount of mileage. What are everyones thoughts on this?
