2wd lifting questions/regrets/advice?

Recommended Posts

Whats up fellas,

I have a 2015 silverado 5.3 V8 that im looking to get lifted with some 35s. Looking through the threads it seems most are 4wd vehicles so Im looking for some of the 2wd truck drivers advice.

Im in California so its not gonna be off pavement too much except for all the pot holes around L.A. and the occasional dirt road to fishing holes in the sierra mountains. Im coming from an 01 f-150 4wd with 8 in lift with 37s but i just did not use the truck to its capabilities enough so opted for a 2wd this time.

Any advice on lift kits or setups with levelers/body lifts? Im currently leaning toward a pro comp kit 6" to clear those 35s

Any regrets or changes you also wish you would have done?

4.5" Maxtrac spindles with Bilstien 5100's will get ya about 6.5", enough to clear 35's. Add a 4-5" block in the rear, pretty cheap setup that'll still ride nice.

I run 3" Maxtrac spindles with Fox 2.0 set at a little over 2" of lift, and run 295/60(34x12). Wish I'd have gotten the 4.5" spindles though. Probably gonna add Zone 1.5" body lift soon.

Yeah man, no problems. Maxtrac spindles are beefier than the stock ones.

I don't go jump sand dunes or anything, my truck is mostly on the street. Perfect lift for a pavement princess. Cheap and rides like stock (until ya put on new big heavy tires).

Post some pics when ya done!
