Part (verify with your parts dept): 19207763

 

Time: TSB lists 1.1 hrs but it should take 30-45 mins.

 

Difficulty: 3/10

 

My condition was a P0449 check engine light code

Tools/supplies

Safety glasses
5/8" heater hose 6-8 ft
4 clamps
Screwdriver
Snips
Ramps or jacks/stands (as needed, use caution secure vehicle properly)

Location: drivers side by gas tank (valve) runs above transmission (filter)

Raise vehicle if needed. I put it up on race ramps for extra room

Disconnect the electrical connection

Disconnect connection from tank

Trace hose and pull filter out and remove entire assy

Connect new hose to new valve/filter

Reinstall under truck and secure

 

Clear DTC's

Just did this this past weekend...did you cut the connection to the tank off and attach the tubing to it or just run the tubing to the nipple on the tank?

 

I cut the connector off and re-used it, but broke the lock tabs on it when removing it. I slid them back in and secured them with some electrical tape for the time being. May try to find another connector at the local parts house.
