Ever since I was assigned an ex-patrol 1989 GMC Jimmy (same thing as Chevy K5 Blazer) back when I worked in Patrol logistics at the Sheriff's Office, I have loved the K-5, leading up to the demise of the 2-Door in the mid-90s.

 

One day I'll own one. After i pay off my $47,000 Duramax :shakehead:

I like my old heap..... its short enough that even with a 7.5' Western blade on it the overall length is short enough to get it into where most guys go with a side by side plowing...... and I have a real truck with a heater and a lot more weight lol.

 

305's got 58 cc heads..... not 76 like buddy said.... that would have dropped compression below 8:1...... and in 87 they still came with 305's with TBI on them. It was either 88 or 89 where they dropped the 305 altogether.
