Exhaust question/help

Recommended Posts

Posted this over the weekend, but thought I might get more input in this area. Just trying to decide what to do about the drone from my borla exhaust. I have found that kicking into 5th gear instead of 6th seems to quiet it down a lot when going 60-70 without killing the mpg. Again any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I had a Borla Pro XS installed on my 2011 this week, the sound is nice and throaty with a lot of bass. 90% of the time I am loving it, but on the highway it's pretty loud especially around 70 mph. Gets better around 75. Just wondered if anyone had any low cost solutions. Not sure if resonated tips help or if I live with it until I decide I like it enough to keep or replace again with something less aggressive. Just wondered if anyone had any input for me. I'll try to get some video/audio posted in the next week or so. Overall great sound.. just 65-70 problematic drone.

thanks for any input.

i have a full borla exhaust and the ONLY drop i have heard was kind of between gears where it should have maybe stayed at a gear instead of shifting as you described. this is a very rare occurrence though, it honestly almost find it too quiet. sorry i wasn't much help
