2001 Sierra Gas door question

Hey guys u know my description of my sierra by now , I have attached a photo of my fuel cap area I want to know from you guys am I missing 2 more of the fuel door rubber bumpers on the left side or is it supposed to be like this?

Yup. No need for them on hinge side.

I am sure that you could, but why add them?

I bet if you put them there your lid won't close all the way.

For whatever it is worth, and amazing I even remember it but my 99' had the exact same configuration, holes, rubber bits, hinge mount all of it. I probably remember it because a salesman at a dealership I stopped at while 'on the road' watched me stop in, double check the fuel door, and then walk in to buy the rubber stop that had just come up missing in between the last two fuel stops. He said anyone that takes that level of care of their truck they would give top $$$ for. Or he was pulling my leg. Whatever.
