As a follow up to our story reported last week, GM is now cutting checks to owners of vehicles which had inaccurate mileage information on window stickers. Owners and those who have leased a 2016 Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia, or Buick Enclave will receive checks from about $450 to $900. The variation has to do with the size of the error (and if the vehicle is front or all-wheel drive). Alternatively, owners may opt instead for a longer bumper to bumper warranty. The window stickers had a 1 or 2 MPG error.

Consumer Reports says the mistake may also include older models. Look for an update if they become part of this reimbursement.

Here at GM-Trucks.com owners of these large crossovers have noted poor mileage in the past.

Hell,

My 2008 SILVERADO 1500 LT 5.3L, 325cid V8 FLEX FueI's window sticker said 14 MPG city and 19 MPG highway.

I get the 14 around town but on the highway the best I've ever got was 15 MPG but most of the time about 14.5 or so, even with cruise control on.

Where's my check?

GM should send a check to the owners of the 2014-2015 GMC Sierra trucks with the poor excuse for headlights-or better yet retrofit with the 2016 lights.

This being a safety issue over just a few less mpg's than stated on a window sticker.
