Group Buy: Morimoto XB LED Fog Light Housings

Recommended Posts

For clarification: I am not trying to sell these or make any money. Nor am I affiliated with The Retrofit Source. If there is a sponsor on this board that is able to work on a group buy price then feel free chime in.

Since these replacement fogs are the same for the G8 and 2010-2013 Camaro, I was looking for some people to get into a group buy. They're currently at $200 and The Retrofit Source agreed to $160 if we can get at least 25 people. They also come with a 10-year warranty.

So far, as of 05/27/2016, the interest is as follows at Camaro5:

  • CamALot
  • Eddiefuzz - maybe?
  • foo.fighter
  • Arogg
  • Kleen
At G8Board:
  • orkrule1
  • s/c'd cav
  • 6 litre
  • GXP25
  • MGMGXP
  • di11avou
  • JessMan (for G8)
  • CamaroSS27
  • Boosted97
  • GT_KEN
  • Fiesty
At GM-Trucks:
  • BIGDOGx
  • Johnny13 (square housings)
  • thetruck454 (square housings)
  • kkmitchell5
  • Jessman (for '15 Sierra)
  • schultzy375
  • chriscote781
  • moody1221
  • CptMcSaug (square housings)
That's 25 people total. New minimum goal of 10 reached.

This is happening very soon. The vendor is aware of this and just needs me to provide information about how many lights and which type. After this post I will provide the vendor with the total list so far.

Here are the LED fog light housings that are a direct replacement:

dam i got all exicited then saw they were for the sierra

2014-2015 Silverados are supported. Unfortunately, it's the ones with the round fog light housings only.

UPDATE: I found another vendor who is willing to sell these for $155 shipped with a minimum of 10 people. We're currently at 13 so as far as I'm concerned we're good to go. The slight caveat is that everyone would need to make sure their orders are in and paid for before we could get them at said price.

So far, as of 05/25/2016, the interest is as follows at Camaro5:
  • CamALot
  • Eddiefuzz - maybe?
  • foo.fighter
  • Arogg
  • orkrule1
  • s/c'd cav
  • 6 litre
  • GXP25
  • MGMGXP
  • di11avou
  • JessMan
  • CamaroSS27
  • BIGDOGx
That's 13 people total. New minimum goal of 10 reached.
Anyone else? :hitit:

The round ones can be found on eBay for around 160ish as well. Too bad the rectangular fogs aren't on that list.

Do you have a link to this?

Also, the idea behind this is that the round ones seem to be parts bin applications from GM, therefore it would have been easier to get more people involved.

I could ask about the rectangular ones since they're the same price ($200) as the round ones. Though the vendor may impose the same 10 person minimum. Would anyone be interested in the square ones?

Are they just plug and play? From the pics they look to be a little smokey in color which is cool.

As long as you already have the factory option for fog lights they should be plug and play. Got mine a month or so ago, unfortunately I did not have factory fog lights so install was a little more time consuming.

I'd be interested in a set.

If we can do the square fog lights.

I'm still waiting to get back in touch with the vendor as it relates to the square ones. I don't envision an issue as the round and square ones are priced the same ($200) all over the net. I'll temporarily add you to the list.
