4L60E Trans Go Install Questions

Recommended Posts

Don't really poke around on the older style GM forums, mostly mess around with Duramax's and Allisons. But had a few quick questions.

I have a '94 K1500 5.0L GMC Sierra. 4x4 with a 4L60E. Just did the basic Trans Go kit as the truck worked fine, just was going to install it as a preventative measure.

Ran into the issue of no reverse because I didn't get the boost valve clip far enough up in the bore to the correct grove, fixed that and took it for the first test drive.

The one thing I noticed was that the 1-2 shift was very soft and delayed.... 2-3 was nice, smooth and quick like I was expecting and then the 3-4 almost feels non existent. Almost as if its just slipping. I have Engine breaking in all the gears with the manual shift and you can hear an rpm change if you go to 4th under very light throttle. TCC locks in 1st 2nd &3rd. But 4th is so soft you cant really tell.

Didn't have any signs of these problems this morning before the install as the truck ran like a top. Im assuming it has to do with 2-4 band apply.

What would be a good place to start looking? or any suggestions? Just trying to get some Ideas before I tear back into it again in the morning.
