GM released a one-sentence press release today to tease GM Sierra Denali HD buyers. Saying only that the "Hood scoop is functional," GMC is asking fans to guess what will be under the hood? What say you GM-Trucks members?

LOL here comes the diesel wars part deux!

The fact that they are showing it in full tells me some information will be out rather soon on the HD updates for 2017. I see the same fuel door on it, so DEF will probably still be under the hood. The fact that there is a DURAMAX and ALLISON badge on the hood, its pretty obvious what they are teasing. I'm guessing at 425hp, 920lb.ft. torque and either a vastly improved or 8 speed Allison to back it. The big question still will be what happens to the 6.0?

I'm more interested in the 6.0 changes. Not that I had any problem with the older 6.0s I've had.

Simple based on picture a new Duramax , now as for the scoop all i will say most hood scoops are for more air, i doubt it will be routed to air box, but would be nice, and will save new owners having to buy aftermarket item? But past that time will tell, just purchased mine new to me 2013 3500hd 6.6 will crew-cab and dual wheel, so not in market anytime soon with the huge costs of these trucks!

Insane is all I can say! I remember first driving the Dmax's when they came out LB something or other and everybody was like 365 hp 600 torque and quiet they pretty much owned the diesel's after that in my opinion. Ford sucked it with Navistar and finally went in house not sure about that but had to be better than some of their other crap..........Cummins was alright they were crazy lound unrefined and well put in a Dodge ram truck was the problem.

Now, Dmax is trying to get to the front again? I think they will and refine an already impressive beast!

I bet they stay 6.6 true to the game and go CGI Deep skirt block, GM's new twin turbo patent which solves many turbo problems, guaranteed to suck CAI intake into CAC with removing moisture so TRUCK DOES NOT DIE LIKE FORD. Super high pressure fuel pressure blah, blah, blah MOTHER F'N Allison with 8 COGS and 475hp 925 torque! BOO YA!
