2014 radio steering wheel controls - want like 2016

I bought my wife a 2016 Yukon and when you use the steering wheel controls to change the radio station, you only click it once. On both of my 2014's, you have to click it twice. Is there a software update for my 14's to be like the 16's?

Annoys me as well, asked GM about it, was told it is what it is. Not expecting an update.
