magnetic phone holder

has anyone successfully found a iphone mount that attaches securely to the a/c vents or anywhere else that allows for magnetic phone retention? i have one now that goes in the cd slot of the nav unit but now that i have apple car play my phone is blocking the screen.

I have used the Logitech [+] Magnetic Mounts in my Avalanche. Both the Suction Cup Dash Mount and the Vent Clip Mount.

It worked very well. Held the phone securely. Never once had it fall off of the mount without me being the cause of it. My only complaint on the Vent Clip is that it blocks air flow. Not to bad in winter. But July in Georgia and you need all the airflow you can get. So for me the Suction Cup mount was the preferred mount. I moved the Vent Clip to the passenger side of the truck for my wife. She also has one in her Traverse. So she has the metal plate already inside her phone case and uses it for both vehicles.

Just got my Sierra 4 days ago. So have not have worried about a phone mount for the new truck yet. But, I may just re-use my Logitech [+] Suction Cup mount.

I'm a lifeproof guy myself. A little pricey but I love my windshield mount
