2017 Dodge Power Wagon

Recommended Posts

Anyone had a look at it yet?

I am spending more and more time out in the middle of nowhere and I need a truck better equipped. Pretty sure I am going to trade in my 15 Sierra on one of these next year. I love the factory front and rear lockers, 12K winch, sway bar disconnect. I test drove one of the 2016's a month ago or so and it rode like a half ton. Dodge did an incredible job with the 5 link suspension in the rear. That 6.4 Hemi has some get up and go to for moving 7K pounds.

I think the regular Ram is one the better looking trucks but that thing/package is even uglier than the ford SD.

Horrible.

I'm not a fan of the grill but the equipment they put in to it makes it a true all terrain truck, a real working truck. Specialties like the Raptor are cool and everything but not everyone wants to run Baja on their weekends. The Ram is a pretty great bush truck from anything I've seen or read on it.

The Dodge Ram Power Wagon is an extremely capable truck BUT they are the ugliest trucks on the dealership lots. Not sure why Dodge thinks it's a good idea to put giant stickers all over the truck, it just makes it look bad. I would not buy it unless those hideous stickers were all removed and a regular Dodge Ram grille added to replace the ugly one it comes with.

There's an option to delete the badging, well at least on the 2016 build it page anyway. Funny that you can get a leather heated steering wheel but can only get cloth or cloth premium bench seats. No 8ft bed either but that's understandable.

I parked next to brand new one the other day. It looked beefy no doubt the wench etc. If somebody is truly going to use it for it's advantages than I would too! I mean sure beats a 2.7 eco? I liked it but have no use for it......

You can get leather. Just have to pony up for the Laramie or whatever the higher trim is.

they all claim something.

growing up here had the wimpy tails making a gmc flex damn near into a cruller, the dodge could burrow a hole to china.

and the one with least articulation.. a 304 IH scout with tires filling the wells to the brim could balance like a gymnast on a beaver damn holding back 5 foot of water.

Something is wrong in all of them.

why don't they claim that and go from there.

Sticking to one thing can gain the downfalls, best way to go.

I like that dodge, and the raptor.. not sure what gm has got in that realm.

my half ton is 20 years old. I was backing blindly into a driveway in a snow storm and looked over eye level at the snowbank..

this did not make sense to the angle I was backing up.

I look outside the door, the articulation was beyond 3 feet, back wheel was on top of a frozen 5 foot pile....and I did not even notice it.

of course i have had to replace everything. Even the tire crossmember. It can't play those games anymore..unintentional or on purpose. No model of any brand will last long doing that stuff.
