2008 Dmax 3500 No codes w/limp mode&0% filter life while pulling

Question

We have a 2008 Dmax 3500 - we are on a 2 wk long family trip pulling our 40' tow hauler. We have had 3 different dealers/shops put it on their computer and run tests with out throwing any codes. We get the msg filter life 0% change filter and goes into limp mode. We haves changes the fuel filter x2, the fuel line & return was completely replaced. Still having isses about 20 miles down the road. Went to a well respected diesel shop in Utah. He also got no codes, test the balance and it was off a few, did another test I can't remember. Suggested a lift pump. So we did that seemed to be running fine for about 100 miles. Then the nightmare continued. Suggestions please? Still no codes. Had another mechanic look and he said "possible sensor issue" - have you heard of that? BTW- we had them change the fuel filter sensor at the 2nd filter change because it happened so soon.

If your filter life is going to zero, you have a bad/plugged filter or a fuel delivery problem. You need to measure fuel pressure (or vacuum) at the schrader valve on input to CP3. You could also have a plugged sock filter in the tank. If the CP3 has to pull to hard to get the fuel to the engine it will go into limp mode. It may set a P0087 code. Data logging would also help with finding the problem. If you have high return rates from the injectors in can lead to limp mode under high temp/high load conditions. I have owned 5 Dmaxes and a lift pump was put on all of them to help with fuel problems.
