Bose premium audio spec question

Recommended Posts

Yes I searched. Couldn't find.

I have a '16 Sierra SLT crew cab w Nav and leather bucket seats. The SLT Premium package has running boards, Bose and the 20" RD5 wheels.

How do I know if I have the 6 speaker or the 7 speaker set up? The sales brochure is ambiguous.

What's the RMS wattage output rating for the head unit?

Thanks

All - Bose systems on the 2015's were 7 speakers (2 door - 2 Dash - 2 Rear - one SUB) not sure about the 16's or if this helps.

I was hoping all the audio experts had been at work and 5pm would unleash an wealth of replies/discussion. Oh well. Maybe they're eating dinner. Thanks bcmking.

Thanks Martha. Everything I read says that. I have buckets, so have a sub somewhere in the console. I'll have to feel around to see if I can locate. Thanks folks.

Naw. No sub in the console.

It's not where you're going to feel it (like a speaker grille). It's more toward the front of the truck. Under the cup holder and deep open area. Turn up the stereo on a song with some bass, and feel the side of the forward portion of the console. You should feel it thumping. If not, someone forgot to put it in.

Been like that for a good while. I have pulled a couple consoles apart in past trucks and the sub faced the firewall. I havent opened up a current gen yet. I suspect it is the same
