What do you always keep in your truck and how do you store it?

I just got back into a truck after spending a few years in a Wrangler and 4Runner! I recently purchased a 2016 Sierra AT SLT Crew Cab and I couldn't be happier! I was wanting to see what you folks keep in your trucks as standard, must have equipment and how you organize and store it. I am in need of ideas. Also, the center floor console is extremely roomy. However, there is no organization to it and it just a large box. I don't really like the standard organizer that essentially hangs from the top of the compartment as it gets in the way of what's underneath. That said, I would love to see what you truck vets have come up with!! Pictures would be great!!

I have the center console organizer. It still leaves plenty of room beneath. I also have a bunch of safety/recovery/emergency supplies under the rear seat in my GM cargo bin. When I go camping I put a Hi-Lift jack in the bed with the rest of my gear.

Just purchased a tool box. So that has become extremely helpful in storing all my stuff.

The stuff that actually stays in the cab is;

pen and notepad

cell phone charger

garage door opener

First aid kit

a weapon of my choosing

fire extinguisher

cotton gloves

In my toolbox:

jumper cables

basic tools such as screw drivers and wrenches in a tool bag

My tow mirror, hitch and other towing /trailer equipment

Two tarps

a blanket

cargo net

rope (x 2 diff lengths)

zipties

work gloves

Was considering flares, but where I live it is HOT. So I don't know if it is safe to carry flares during times of intense heat.

So how do y'all organize the bottom of your center console?

Got a Du-Ha box under the back seat with normal truck stuff. Jumper cables, tow strap, couple different hitch balls, small air compressor. Centre console organizer like posted above with flashlight, pocketknife, etc. Nothing crazy.

I have a jack, jack stand, four way lug nut wrench, variety of tools, quart of oil, tranny fluid, jumper cables, small electric air compressor, tire plugs.

All of this in what is intended to be a side mounted tool box that is used up in the normal location bolted to the floor. It's compact and discrete while not wasting as much bed space.

And I thought I was doing well with the small list I put in my center console...time to go shopping!

Got the center console organizer....Knife, multi-tool from my dad's old Suburban, flashlight, tire gauge, two pens (one lights up), a cord to charge my phone, my sunshade, and occasionally some spare change. Looking to get a small shovel (the one in my Cadillac has paid for itself so many times I lost track), a good snow scraper, a tow rope, and some paper.

I realized I forgot some things but here's a photo of how I rearranged everything yesterday. Not as organized as I'd like but it works:

I'm working on a mounting solution for the ABC if anyone has any advice/ideas.

Tow straps & trailering equipment (some other emergency stuff, first aid kit) in a storage lockbox in the bed of my truck. I have it bungeed to one of the rear loops near the tailgate on passenger side.

Jumper cables, under the hood of my trucks in a battery box mounted on the driver side, on the extra battery mounting plate.

4 pistol magazines, mounted and locked away in the cab of trucks, extra pocket knife, extra set of my LEO credentials in case I forget mine on the way out the door and belt clip badge.

Fire extinguisher mounted under my rear seats, and one mounted in the truck beds on the driver side, right behind the cab.....That's about everything off the top of my head.

Where and how did you mount the pistol mags?
