Got the new Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires

Recommended Posts

Decided it was time to replace the Cooper AT3 tires on my 2007 GMC Sierra. I've been pretty happy with them and they probably lasted a good 45,000 miles and probably could have gone for another 5,000 miles or so. But I wanted to try something new and Falken just debuted the Wildpeak A/T3W. I got a great deal on them through discount tire at $138 per tire and decided to try them. I've had them on for a few days so far and love how they look, I find myself admiring them every time I get in my truck because they just look so much better than the AT3s. Performance wise, they seem just as quiet, if not quieter than the coopers on the highway and they don't seem to ride any worse either. I drove on some dirt roads after I got them and they don't seem to throw rocks as much as the Coopers did either. All in all, I'm pretty happy with them so far and I'll try to keep y'all updated.

They are a few pounds heavier than the AT3s so I'm interested to see if my fuel economy is effected at all. I'll be doing a 1000+ mile road trip in a few weeks that I've done a few times in the past so I'll see if my fuel economy is really changed.

I got 265 70/R17. Its just the stock size, I didn't really feel like going any bigger. I was also looking at the KO2 and the AT3 again, but the price of the Falkens compared to the KO2s was what ultimately led me to get the Falkens.
