Control arm tits are broken HELP

Recommended Posts

I own a 2008 gmc Sierra 2500HD Duramax. I noticed the other day that I had an upper ball joint going bad. So I took the control arm off and replaced the ball joint, without noticing that the pins that set the tow on the control arm were broken off. The pins are welded onto the brackets that hold the control arm, which are also welded to the frame. I've asked around, and some guys have said to order new brackets from GM and weld them back on. Where others have said to just weld a bolt where the tit went, and use that to set my pitch. I've never seen this problem before. If anyone has ever dealt with something like this, or knows who to contact please let me know.
