That's what I was thinking bought a new truck old one was tired and use it a lot for hunting.. guess I better trade it in.. can't have lights on driving into hunting camp.. parking lights work awesome

You can turn the lights off manually I believe. Also it used to be if you engaged the parking brake a click or two until the dash light turned on before you go into gear it would keep the DRL/headlights off as well.

He's right. You can go dark whenever you want. There's an auto function on the headlights, but if you twist that knob 1/8th of a turn counter clockwise, your dash display will read "auto headlamp function off" or something along that line. Hunt away friend!

Did anyone find a way to do this on the Canadian model 2015 Silverado? Is there a programmer I can buy?

I'm not sure, but I always thought you could go to the dealership and have them change the coding on the truck to US from Canada.  Then the lighting will work like other US trucks. I'm not sure this solves the problem...but it might be worth a try.

Either the Gen5 harness mentioned above here is the new link

https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/14-18-silverado-gen3-products/products/14-18-silverado-drl-harness

or a BCM reprogram

https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=94&category_id=54&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=54

either one you’ll want to double check about yours being a Canadian truck.
