Android Auto for 2016 Suburban?

Recommended Posts

Just took delivery on a brand new 2016 Chevrolet Suburban with the 8" MyLink Touchscreen Radio without navigation. As per the following Chevrolet link Android Auto will be available through an exclusive Chevrolet Dealership software update.

I would have thought if this update was already available then the dealership would have applied it before delivering the vehicle. Has anyone successfully gotten Android Auto to work on their 2016 Suburban upon delivery or been able to get the dealership to apply the necessary update to the MyLink system.

Can anyone provide the service bulletin info in regards to the update if available so that I can provide to my local dealer, its not my first Chevy with them and wouldn't be the first time I had to provide a service bulletin number to them for them to acknowledge an issue or update...

Thanks all!

Just another link which states as of 3/1/16 U.S. Chevrolet dealers now have the software to update eight-inch MyLink systems with Android AutoTM capability in select 2016 model year vehicles. The 2016 Suburban is listed as a compatible vehicle.
