I have the Corsa on mine. You have to look it up for a 2012 truck. Corsa says that it doesn't fit but mine is on no problems that I've had in the 15k I've had it on. With the way their muffler is engineered, its like having a Corvette with Dual Mode NPP factory exhaust. Cruising is great, ZERO drone, and when you give it, it growls great.

I had Corsa on my 2008 half ton and it was great. (touring) The reason I did not put it on my HD is because their main piping is 3". The stock pipe diameter is 3.5". Its a shame they dont make a 3.5" system for the HDs. They DO make one for the 6.2L 1/2 tons.

i spoke to corsa this morning and they said they do not have any plans as of right now to make one for the 2500 and 3500's. I asked if the 6.2 system would fit and he could not give me a straight answer other than, " I cannot confirm if it will or will not, sometimes the hangers are in different locations, frame cross members could be different, and the rear dif being larger could affect it.." to that, i said, any shop can change hanger locations, it should not be routed around cross members and should not be bent at so tight of an angle that the diameter of the diff be an issue. I then asked if they sold mufflers by themselves and he stated they do not, the corsa exhaust is sold as a whole system, that is how they "tune" the drone out of them.. and that if the 1500 6.2L system were to possibly fit, the "no drone..." could not be guaranteed because of the difference in cab sound proofing..

needless to say, i am quite disappointed.

  • 5 weeks later...

Has anyone tried to install 14866 (the 6.2L 3.5" version) on a 3/4 ton yet? I have a hard time believing the bends would be drastically different between a 1500 and 2500.

Summit has a decent return policy, and I'm considering ordering to be a guinea pig...But if someone has already tried and failed, I'd like to save the 50ish bucks on return shipping if it doesn't work.

They are completely different.

What is completely different about them? The bends? The hangers? Just curious. I'm legitimately thinking about buying the 6.2 version because I think if nothing else, it can be modded to work.

If I do buy it, I'll post a ton of pics on what is required to get it to work...If someone has a summit coupon, that will probably push me over the edge haha!!

Everything is different. The bends, the hangers, the headpipe connection, the pipe lengths, etc. The HDs have a different frame. The 1/2 tons also have an active exhaust valve after the muffler. Furthermore, Cosras "no drone" technology is vehicle and engine specific. Just because it sounds good on a 6.2 half ton does not mean it will sound good on your 6.0.

I ordered the 2011-2012 system they list. The factory exhaust for my regular cab was the same part # 2011-2015. If the frame is the same, and the exhaust is the same, I figured, well it should fit. Because they could not guarantee fit, they were only able to warranty the muffler, and they sold it to me at like 1/2 price. I was just under $700 shipped from them.

please let me know when you receive the exhaust and if it does in fact work. I will have to check the part number for the quad cabs..
