The 2017 GMC Sierra and Sierra HD changes are similar, but not identical to the 2017 Silverado and Silverado HD changes we detailed yesterday. You may want to pop that story open in a new window by clicking here so you can compare and contrast.

The Sierra gets almost all the same changes as the Silverado, including the addition of the 6.6-liter Duramax in the HD. There is also the eAssist model for California only, Active Aero Shutters (which are like little doors on the grill that shut at highway speeds to improve fuel economy), Low Speed Auto Braking, same two new colors, and dealer add-on options.
