cruise control limiter (german autobahn)

Recommended Posts

does anyone happen to know if one of these tuner chips will remove the speed limiter? or more importantly the limit of the cruise control? my truck wont allow me to use cruise control over 94mph...... so I keep it steady at 93mph lol

in other news I took her on a 4 hour trip at a constant 93mph with no issues what so ever, this truck really does feel solid for the size!

the tires are the limit.

letter Q is 100mph even.

there is recent evolution on the trucks to find better.(I run a letter S (112mph) on 16 inch wheels, 123E sidewall)

with that.. it would still be a tough argument to let the limits go. That is corporate international safety stuff.

I used BlackBear Tuning. They can disable the speed limiter but unfortunately I never had the opportunity to set cruise control at high speeds here in the US to see if that would work.

It's nice to see some GM trucks in Germany! My employer's headquarters is just outside Munich and I visited two years ago and the only American trucks I saw were Rams.

Put a shotgun rack in the back window to round out their perceptions.

Or get the Oklahoma Edition badge and glue the back half of a few arrows to your tailgate.

What mileage did you get at that speed?

I can't say exactly although it wasn't nearly as bad as I would have imagined, she stayed at roughly 2200 rpms.

Does not change cruise control speed. And if you are in cruise at 97, nail the gas, the cruise shuts off like tapping the brake.

The speed limiter and cruise control limiter are 2 separate functions in 2 separate modules. The speed limiter is changeable thru a custom tune, the cruise control limiter is a function of the BCM and cant be changed via any normal methods. Only 1 person I know of might be able to do this and I have never seen them offer this up as a service.
