BCM problem? Is this possible?

Question

Can a 2006 suburban "forget" where (usa/can) it was made for? I recently noticed that when using
the remote door lock fob that the horn blows when it didn't before (or at least not as often)
then I find i cant turn off the headlights when i could before. trying to figure this out i checked the manual and found the headlights cannot be turned off on the trucks made for the Canada market. That tidbit got me thinking that maybe the body control module or something thinks it's Canadian all of a sudden. has anyone heard of this happening? is it possible?

A truck with an identity crisis. Now I've seen it all!

I don't doubt anything these days. I'd say that's probably possible. All that is controlled by the Body Control

Module, so there may be an issue in there.

I had a heck of a time disabling the daytime running lights on my '07 when it was new. Found the fuse eventually and pulled it.
