OEM remote start intermittently fails

Hi all,

 

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra with factory remote start. About 1 out of every 10 tries, the engine starts to crank and then dies halfway through, resulting in a failed remote start. I've NEVER had an issue like this when using the key to start the truck. Any ideas?
