Looking to purchase USED GM Truck

Hello everyone,

 

I will be in the market to purchase a used GM Truck, but I need some of your assistance to find something within the realms of what I am looking for. I have a wife with 4 dogs 2 which are small and 2 whom are Medium to large, we will be traveling between the Tri-State area and I am going to also be pulling a vehicle trailer towing between 3500-4K LBS. What I am looking for is within the range of $10K and am looking for something to handle towing and long trips ( Rain, Snow, Dirt, Sand ). I will also be turning the wrenches on this vehicle. What should I be looking for and what are your experiences ( Model year / models / Links) , any extras you suggest.

Very difficult to find a good used truck in this price range.

 

I got most of my used vehicles off eb*y. But one has to be willing to travel. Add time and travel costs to equation. Does take time and patience to find the right one. If you need right away, well, scour the dealerships and Craigslist.

 

Both of my current vehicles came from eb*y.

 

This one owner rust free no accident 2002 Silverado Z71 4X4 with 38,000 original miles came from rural Tennessee.

Good thing is I have some time to shop but i'm just wondering what years I should avoid and what should I be looking at... I'm leaning more towards a tahoe because of the interior room and towing capacity.

Could probably get a decent 2004/2005 Tahoe in your price range.
