Brackets made the back very easy to install.

Just not sure if they plan on you also using the regular screws also. I put one in the top corner. The directions with the brackets don't mention anything.

Bottom hangs a little bit away without the rest of the screws.

I'm a long time Ford Super Duty owner. I was getting sick of Ford's stale design, hence this 2500HD.

It's a nice truck, and it has its good points, but I can tell you that it's no Ford SD.

I'll probably keep it another year, but when Ford releases the new 10 speed auto, I'll be going back...

What don't you like about the GM?

I personally don't think the quality of the build isn't in the same league as the SD.

My seats rattle constantly, both passenger and rear. I have a howling noise coming from the left front wheel well that seems to have affected the majority of the trucks, and the stock infotainment system simply sucks.

The interior quality isn't nearly as good, and the front suspension is more robust on the Ford.

The snow plow package alternator overloads and shuts down the dash infotainment system every time I pick it up the plow. GMs fix is half assed at best.

Don't get me wrong, it's a decent truck, but it's got its inherent issues that aren't being addressed properly.

Fix that stuff, and I may consider it again sometime.

Isn't the pre 2017 Super Duty cab like ancient? I always hate Ford interiors when I get in them. But I have had 6 GM trucks so I'm used to GM I guess.

I just had a plow installed on mine and I didn't notice any issues to start, but obviously I haven't actually plowed yet.

When I was shopping for my 2500 earlier this year, I looked at Fords and Rams as well. And I felt like, at a similar price point, the GM interior was far better than Ford's and Ram's interior. Now I know each one can be upgraded to get all the goodies, but then those prices went way up too.

I have been a GM fan forever, and they are really making it hard to stick with them. Between the uncomfortable seats, all the rattles, the stupid snowplow or sunroof dilemma, and the no rear ac vents, I really wonder why I stick with them. Going to look at the other choices in the next few weeks...
