New jack for the new garage!

Recommended Posts

Well, the old floor jack we have had for a few years has finally given up and leaks at the lift piston. This is the replacement for that old jack:91e3ad7ae6571bcd137fe9f1aee0b4b8.jpg

It's a Pittsburgh 4 ton heavy duty jack with RapidPump; item number 68056. I mainly chose this jack for the Heavy Duty steel construction, as well as being able to pretty much lift the truck (actually ANY passenger vehicle save for a bus) without effort.

As a famous youtuber once said: "There's no kill like Overkill; it's a LOT better than underkill!"

I have a 2 1/2 ton jack and it has held up pretty good. I don't use it all the time, but maybe 2-3 times a year. What I like about it is the part the handle goes into (it's removable) rotates 360°. It's a truck/SUV jack but it's still low enough for a normal car and has an extender for the foot that contacts the vehicle. It's a small one that's 2", but I also have a bigger one about the size yours that's 5" has and I also bought one for pinch welds.
