dimming of all lights interior and exterior

so i got a 03 escalade base model

 

when the car is in just battery mode. acc mode. w.e it dosent do this

but yet when i start the car. the whole time im driving or in idle. the lights dim in and out bright to darker. also this is all lights. everything that got lights.

 

i replaced the alt with a new one from autozone . new . lifetime warranty

still does it. when i pull the 4 pin off the alt .. it stops the issue. no more dimming

the battery was tested good as well.

 

now when i come to a stop at a intersection i notice that the car will idle funny and the voltage will drop to the 12s

 

the other issue as well is the cluster lights. all lights 90% of the time on my cluster will not light up except .. the park rev neut drive etc and the dummy display. sometimes they will come on. sometimes not.

might be the same issue or 2 diff issues. but either way im at a loss here. any ideals.?
