2015 Silverado with 3.5 lift leaning to the right

Recommended Posts

Hello guys! I recently had a Rough Country 3.5 lift installed on my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Crew 4x4. After it was installed I went and got an alignment done right away. Well about a couple weeks later while driving I noticed the front passenger side of my pickup leaning to the right. I pulled over and noticed that the rear was leaning to the right as well. I went and aired up all of my tires evenly and parked it on a even surface. I measured the distance between the fender well and the top of the tire and compared it to the other side. The passenger side was lower than the drivers side approximately 1/2 an inch. I then measured from the ground to the middle of fender well and still about a 1/2 an inch lower on passenger side. So I took the pickup to the shop where they installed the lift and checked the lift. They re torqued everything and didn't see anything wrong with the lift. Has anyone experienced something like this before? Any fixes or suggestions? Please help thank you!

Rough Country

That is your problem right there. Rough Country is cheap .... well ok maybe it is fine on older vehicles but putting the cheapest possible lift kit on a brand new truck is just asking for these kind of problems.

I would go to an honest 4x4 / offroad shop and get a 2nd opinion. Could be installed wrong or you may be haveing premature wear. If you were offroading a rough country kit is not intended for that it is purely for looks and has 0 function.

My suggestion is to uninstall it and get a decent one if you actually go offroad. "Lo barato sale caro." The cheap comes out expensive.

lol what. these are engineered to exacting specifications leaning 1/2 inch lower on side is in no way normal. something is messed up if what OP says is true.

Measure your truck I bet you'll be between 1/4 - 1/2" off from one side to the other.

Try pulling out a level too. Do you really think 1/2 inch of tolerance is used in engineering of anything except tinker tots?

You find me a perfectly level and squared area and measure your truck if it's dead on good on you sir. However everybody else's truck is gonna be in that 1/4-1/2" tolerance. Just the difference in the amount of fuel in your tank will make it vary.

I don't post a lot, tend to be quiet. But you always have something to say about everyones opinion. These trucks aren't high precision machines. They are trucks. So yea a half inch might be "good enough". How many peoples beds are mis aligned? Mines off by probably closer to an inch than a half inch. And wouldn't you believe it, it made it off the assembly line like that.

P.s. trust me im an engineer
