The Colorado ZH2 uses hydrogen to power a fuel cell power plant, thus it is an EV.

We don't know much about the truck really, but it looks amazing. Here is what GM says it is a test bed for:

-Near-silent operation enabling silent watch capability
-Reduced acoustic and thermal signatures
-High wheel torque at all speeds via electric drive
-Low fuel consumption across operating range
-Water by-product for field uses

We will take for granted that the ZH2 served its purpose, but what it seems to do best is look bad-ass.

Yeah, kinda look like a Spec Ops prototype. I remember reading about a spec ops buggy (info was made public about it when it was done field testing and didn't get a contract) that was basically a 2/3rd scale, open cockpit, electric version of that ZH2. That trunk doesn't hold much, but looks big enough for some gear.

anyone over 6 foot will have problems getting in and out, worst design I have seen in a long time.

The article reports that it is a test bed, so it should not be judged as if it were intended for actual service in that form.

I was speaking of the Colorado/Canyon trucks in general, not easy for tall people to enter and exit, GM really needs to start employing people larger than your average oriental when designing vehicles, not everyone is 5'6" and 110 lbs.

I see. I'm six feet tall and just bought a new Colorado and it suits me fine in that regard. Don't people who are much taller than six feet have a problem with most vehicles? I don't know what people who are six-two or more drive but I expect they have to shop around.
