2014 Sierra 1500 SLT Z71 4x4 with 6.2L

Hi all, we just bought a Denali Yukon and I need to sell my beloved Sierra. Its loaded, basically the Denali without the bling. I have ~39K miles on it and it has never been abused or off roads. 70% of the miles are on the highway. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this truck, but to be honest, I really like the new Denali Yukon and my wife is driving it anyways. I got a Jeep TJ as a compromise (and love it too). Anyhow, its hard to find this truck out there in the 6.2L and all of the add-ons so I have no idea what people are selling them for. I think a dealer was willing to pay $37K as a trade, so I assume they were going to try and move it on in the mid to low $40K range.

So I will just cut to the chase and ask a firm $40K. If you want to offer less, go ahead and I'll consider low offers at the end of the month. I really need to sell this within the week though.

That's a very good deal, considering what I'm paying for my truck and is a 2wt trim level I would jump on this if I didn't have my truck payment.

Not sure where you're located, but dealer I traded my 15 6.2, currently has my truck for 37.7k. Only has 13k miles on it. Not trying to down sell your truck, but with the huge rebates on the new ones, I think you might be a tad optimistic.

Anyway, just giving you my opinion based on what I just went through.

GLWS, I'm wishing I never sold my 6.2...

Run the Edmunds/Kelly Blue Book etc and see what they are really selling for. As mentioned above the rebates are ridiculous with New 16 Denali's with the 6.2 for well under 50k in my area......

I am willing to make a deal that's fair in any case. Not trying to make a premium profit at all...just trying to cover payoff and not wash away "equity." I usually use craigslist or ebay to reality check my asking price, but there are NO 4x4 Z71 White Diamond 6.2 SLTs and a crap ton of 5.3s SLTs for mid 30s. Again, IMO, cars are worth what they sell for.

Assuming 40K miles and excellent condition selecting my options:

NADA Clean Retail: $40,700

Edmunds Private Party: $36,718

KBB Sell to Private Party: $37,343

Cars.com search for 2014 with 6.2 and < 40K miles shows most dealers within 500 miles are asking mid 40's for Denalis.

Denalis here are running in the low 50s drive out. If you can get a 4x4 Z71 Denali Brand New for mid to upper $40Ks ... congratulations! I would trade mine in for that deal (though I do not like the Denali Sierra...too much bling - way too much bling for a 4x4).

In Houston. Dang, that's depressing....was it a Z71 4x4? White Diamond? Not trying to get rich, just not wanting to give any equity, plus make the payoff. Looking to make a fair deal for me and the buyer. I have a friend interested, but neither of us know what the actual street value is. To your last statement....I am partially traumatized by the idea of selling hands-down 10x over the best vehicle I have ever owned! But....I "upgraded" my wife to a Yukon XL 4x4 Denali and as a compromise, I bought a little 2002 Jeep Sahara TJ with 35's.

Your price is more than fair. I've been keeping up with them on a national level since I bought mine last year. Alot of people seem to not understand how big an impact the different trim levels play in the value. IE slt vs sle etc. The 6.2 alone is worth alot. The market is particularly flooded right now because of rebates, but be patient it will bounce back.

The value hasn't fallen there's just alot of options to sift thru for buyers.

Beautiful truck and good luck with sale!

Ok, I had decided to hold on to the truck and even turned down a few good offers late last year. Now its tax time again and I need the cash and cash flow... so its back on. If anyone is interested, let me know. Please no low ball offers. I want market value that is fair to both seller and buyer. Not trying to get rich.

38K and will have to submit payment through Chase Bank to get title cleared and released. This means you would pay the payoff to Chase and the balance to me. Chase will clear the title and mail it to me, where I would sign it over to you the buyer when received. In the interim, we would sign a bill of sale stating that the truck has been sold between us and are awaiting title transfer.

sniff sniff sniff.......this is more painful than I thought.
