Watch videos/movies on Chevy 1500 MyLink?

So I've heard rumors about being able to watch youtube videos or movies on the MyLink screen in my 2015 Silverado while in park... however I cannot find videos or any internet links about the topic. The lovely friends at the dealership say I can, but not how. Any comments? Thanks!

I would assume it would have something to do with Android Auto or Apple Car Play, but I'm not seeing any compatible apps that allow video; at least not on the Android side.

press the menu button the you select video and ot will read your media drive / card for video files of the right format.

Just keep in mind those of you reading this with 2017's you will not be able to play video at all unless you have MVI's HMI Unlock.

Why is that? Also how much would it cost to upgrade my module from 2014 to a 2017 and get the front camera and andriod play?

2017's removed not only pandora but the ability to play video even in park, our new 2017 unlock adds both back in ;) You'd need to contact anthony via text for pricing on the 2016 upgrade.
